six times on mount everest

Looking for a tough environment to test your products? Look no further. With icebreaking cold, hurricanes and burning sun, this is the ultimate test site, pushing both the gear and people to the very limit. This is where the spark that grew into Swedemount was born.

Climbers have six times wore Swedemount products to the peak of the mountain, among them Pemba Rita, a notorious Sherpa. He is one of Swedemount’s test persons as well as one of the most experienced guides in the Himalayas. He has managed expeditions for over 30 years on their quests of reaching the peaks of the Himalayan mountains. He recently made hid 5th ascent to the peak of Mount Everest, wearing garments and gear from Swedemount.

A Swedish mountaineer-team called 4Everest are also a part of our test team. And just like with Pemba did they wear Swedemount clothes on their latest attempt of reaching the top of Mount Everest.

But you do not have to cross the Earth to find good testing sites. Back in 2017, a team comprising of Swedemount workers set sail to Svalbard to explore the isolated isles in the middle of the Arctic Sea. Except for tough weather conditions you also must stay on the watch for polar bears. To test the garments around the islands, the team was escorted by armed guards. Luckily there were no close encounters with polar bears, and the tests proved successful.
